Upon immersion at depths between 1.50 and 4 meters, the H20E release undergoes automatic activation, facilitating the deployment of the EPIRB beacon. This beacon ascends to the water's surface, transmitting both the identification signal and the distressed vessel's precise position. With no need for regular inspections or maintenance, the Hammar H20E hydrostatic release unit is replaced every two years. Globally recognized and approved, it adheres to the standards outlined in SOLAS Convention 74/96, Resolution III/4 LSA Code, Res. IMO MSC 48(66), IMO MSC Res. 81(70), and is compliant with the European Directive EU 96/98 EC on maritime equipment.
